「私は子供の頃から猫や犬と一緒に生活をしてきました。
ことに猫はエジプトでは神様、日本では化け猫とも言われるように
様々な顔をもっています。
わがままで、気まぐれで、ときにはいぢわるで、
自己がおどろくほどハッキリしていて、
きわめて自由な生き方をしています。
その猫に魅せられて私のモチーフはお猫ときめて
そのお猫様の様々な生き方をおいかけています。
いずれにしても猫はすばらしい私の友達です。」
Setsu Asakura Exhibition
“Ever since I was a young child, I have been living with cats and dogs. Cats, in particular have many different facades, which interest me. For instance in Egypt, they are considered Godly and in Japan, as a metamorphosing animal. Cats are confident and independent creatures, but at times selfish, unkind and capricious. These interesting characteristics have captivated me and thus, I have been exploring their lifestyle. My artworks revolve around cats. In any case, cats are good friends of mine.”
ヨルク・シュマイサー 新作展

ヴェニスでのドローイング、エッチングそして山形旅行を題材に制作された版画を中心として
ヨルク・シュマイサーは1942年にポメラニア(現ポーランド)で生まれました。ドイツのハンブルグ造形美術大学を卒業した後、京都市立美術大学大学院に留学。1970年代には中東へ、アーティスト/製図家として考古学発掘に参加し、後の作風に強い影響を与えることになります。1978年、オーストラリアのキャンベラ美術大学版画科主任教授に就任、1997年に退官するまで20年在任しました。フェローや招待芸術家としてブリストン大学、エルサレム、パースやホバート、中国杭州に滞在し、またプロジェクトとしてラダックやアンコールで制作しました。
作品はニューヨーク近代美術館、大英博物館、オーストラリア国立美術館、パリ国立図書館、ドレスデン国立美術館をはじめ、世界の主要美術館に収められています。
Jorg Schmeisser
A collection of Schmeisser’s drawings and etchings of Venice, and artworks based on his trip to Yamagata are exhibited.
Schmeisser was born in Pomerania (what is now Poland) in 1942. After graduating Germany’s Hamburg Fine Art Academy, he studied at the Kyoto City Fine Art University. In the 1970s he visited the Middle East as he took park in an archaeological excavation in Israel and Greece. This excavation later influenced his artwork greatly. For 20 years from 1978 to 1997, he was the Head of Printmaking at the Canberra School of Art in Australia and as a fellow and invitational artist has visited Princeton University, Jerusalem, and Hangzhou. He has also traveled to Ladakh and Angkor Wat to complete art projects. His artworks are kept in major museums from the Museum of Modern Art New York, National Gallery of Australia Canberra, Bibliotheque Nationale Paris, and Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg Staatliche Sammlungen Dresden.

SHINGO FRANCIS -Blue's Silence-
「brighter shade of blue」
青い炎は最も純粋な火であり、一番温度が高く最も効率よく燃える状態のものである。
これは詩人、ドリームレコーダーであり美術家でもあるシンゴ・フランシスが数年に亘り用いた色とコンセプトである。彼は自分の青いペインティングの方向性、領域の展開、拡張、推進、そしてそれらを簡潔に内包した状態をコンセプトの裏付けとして位置づける。同時に彼は直感を頼りに必然的に起こりうる変化を哲学的に容認し、純正さを達成するための漸近的自由性を追求する事によって外への抑制を放棄する事を成し遂げようとする。透明に限りなく近い異なる青塗料のレイアーを着色し、手でそれを次々に何層も磨く事によって下にあるキャンバス地を通して光を反射させ、その色を励起させる事によって光を活性化させるのである。ペインティングに使われる青色は抽象的かつ吸収的な性質を持ち、それは観るものの感覚的な体験を光と影への単なる連想作用に漸減させる空間へ誘うのである。

Francis Shingo
The blue flame is fire’s purest state, one in which it burns the hottest and most efficiently. This is also the concept and the color that poet, dreamrecorder and artist Shingo Francis has worked with for the last several years. He points to the trajectory of his blue paintings, how areas have evolved, expanded, pushed out, and enveloped themselves to a state of elemental simplicity. In parallel, the artist philosophically embraces the inevitability of chance and tracks the asymptote of achieving purity, working from a state of intuition and towards abdicating all outward control. By interposing clear layers with differing hues of blue pigment and burnishing successive layers by hand to allow light to reflect back through the underlying canvas, he activates the colors and“keeps the light alive.” The blues in these paintings have abstractive and absorbtive qualities that draw you into a space where sensorial experiences are pared down to the mere suggestions of light and shadow.

Motoharu SANO -Art Works- in Yokohama
佐野元春さんのファースト・アルバムのジャケットには、中区山下町25番地にあった手作りショップ『赤い靴』の前で撮った写真が使われています。その後『赤い靴』はギャルリーパリに発展。佐野元春さんは日本のミュージック・シーンをリードする存在になりました。共に歩み、25周年目に初めて開催する個展です。初公開となる佐野さんの絵画と詩を展示し、「佐野元春チャリティーオークション」もあわせて開催。多くの方の好評を得ました。
Motoharu Sano
It all began when Motoharu Sano took a photo in front of a small boutique called Akaiktutsu in 25 Yamashita-cho Yokohama and decided to make this his first album’s jacket. Later Akaikutsu developed into what is now Galerie Paris, and Sano has become an infamous musician in the Japanese music scene. After 25 years since the photo was taken, it was decided that Motoharu Sano would exhibit his artworks and poems for the first time in public at Galerie Paris. The [Motoharu Sano Charity Auction] was held during this exhibition, and overall the showcase was well received.

2006年のこの年、ビートルズの４人が日本公演を行ってから40年。その彼らの息吹を感じるオークション級アイテムを一挙に公開。トラックスジャパンが総力を挙げて集めた歴史的逸品や、「あのときのあれなの？」オールドファンから新しいファンまで、さらにビートルズの奥深さを知る７日間でした。直筆サインの販売、世界各国のレコード、書籍などの販売など、大好評のうちに終了しました。
1955年東京生まれ。1976年渡伊。1979年のペルージャ、ブリオーリ宮での初個展以降、ヨーロッパ、日本で個展を多数開催。イタリアではパブリックアートも数多く手がけ、日本でもJAL・伊丹空港VIPラウンジ、サウジアラビアフォーフォーシーズンズホテルのプレジデントスイートなどがあります。ミラノ在住。
